This weekend promises to be a busy one for those involved at the Gryphons!

We play at home again against Top four side Eltham and despite the difference in ladder position we always seem to have close battles at East Caulfield Reserve against them so it should be a good clash.

During the game the club will be hosting Ladies Day in support of the Love Your Sister Charity, please come down (or if you’re a player get your wife/girlfriend/partner/mother/sister!/daughter/friends/pet to come down) and support Samuel Johnson’s very special charity work. We’re lucky enough to have Sam himself coming down as a guest speaker.

After the Ladies have finished and the club has hopefully recorded a couple upset wins we’ll be heading across to the Racecourse Hotel for our annual Poker Night.

I remember when I first came to this club, Poker night was huge with some of the old boys leading the way (and taking my money) at all poker events Thursday night or otherwise.

Please RSVP (on facebook or the app) so that we can work out the the number of poker tables, chips and cards required for the event- walk ups welcome but we want to have a rough idea of what sort of crowd to handle.

As you all are aware good turn outs to events like these can make a massive difference to the club on and off the field in the long run. So please get around the events and more importantly use the club as an excuse to catch up with your mates and have a good time.
